A lil' behind the scenes! Laura is the idea gal! She is constantly sending me sketches and brainstorms of wonderful ideas she has for Lil' Inker Designs Stamps and Die ideas. In my free time (HA) I take the ideas she has and with my graphic design skills whip up actual files on my mac. Holly Jolly was Laura's idea to have a cutie tree that could be very versatile in use and decorating. The leaves and berries could be used alone to make wreaths etc. OR used to decorate the tree and its counterpart tree trunk. ALL of these dies in the set feature what has come to be our signature perforated detail that you can see here in a variety of uses!

Lil' Inker Designs Blog Hop FINAL DAY!

Today is the LAST day of
the Lil' Inker Designs (with ag designs)
Design Team New Release Blog Hop!

We are featuring our NEW Acorn die and Sentiment stamp set!

Its really just ADORABLE see for yourself!

Welcome to the last day of our Hop. If you have arrived from Sarah's Blog then you are on the right path! If not head back to the beginning to check out all of the Design Team's amazing work! So today I am re-purposing my card from yesterday. Now on the last release day of the Lil' Inker Designs Design Team Blog Hop, I can show you how I combined the mini pinwheel die with the brand new Acorn Die Set and Acorn Sentiment Stamps. First up is the Acorn Die Set. I used the cute little leaf die with my magazine flower paper to get a bunch of great fall colors for leaves. I put them on the card in a falling pattern with the Falling for you sentiment from the Acorn Sentiments Set. I hoped to accent the movement of the mini pinwheel. Don't you just love all of these together!  I used a few markers to make the sentiment pop out a bit more. I hand drew some spirals and a make shift stem, to connect the mini pinwheel and falling leaf dies, visually. Here's a bunch more photos of my creation using the leaf die from Acorn Die Set and Acorn Sentiment Stamps with our mini pinwheel die

I wish my time with Laura for craftiness was much much longer then I could have done more with this guy too!!!!!

I look forward to crafting again!
At the moment my full time job as a designer in Prepress
is just soooooo busy!!!!
I'm glad to have the work but it doesn't leave me much time
also after my two boys run me around at night!!!
:D
But planning a day again, is in the near future,
with my partner in crime Laura. It is a MUST DO!

Next up on the Acorn trail is Chan.
Please be sure to HOP along in order to see other creations
using our final fall release items and leave comments on your way.
Then you'll be eligible to win one of three available 10$ store credits

Lil' Inker Designs Blog Hop DAY 4!

Today is the FOURTH Day of
the Lil' Inker Designs (with ag designs)
Design Team BLOG HOP!

We are featuring for a second day the NEW Mini Pinwheel Die.

I hope you hopped over by way of Teresa's Blog.
Be sure to check out all the other members of today's Hop and make comments
to be included the the random drawing to win great prizes!

So here is my project for day two of our mini pinwheel die blog hop.

In a past life I collected images I really liked from magazines for different found art projects. This is what I used to make the petals for our new mini pinwheel die. It was actually a magazine ad for a car that had a ton of flowers on it. I really loved the contrast of the oranges and blacks from the flowers. I choose a few petals where the green stems and leaves in the magazine showed. I used Laura's tutorial for the original Pinwheel Die and a black brad to make my first mini pinwheel! It's so cute! I just love the shapes it makes and the small size allows you to use it in a myriad of new and creative ways! The unintentional theme of my day at Laura's house was vertical cards made with kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink. I used markers to embellish my sentiment stamp THAT is a sneak preview of Fridays last reveal! I also used the magazine flowers with a another sneak peak item to accent my mini pin :D
I finished off my quick fall card with an orange bow.
I just love the the mini pinwheel as a focal point!

The Lil' Inker Designs store is very excited to now offer all of our Pinwheel products as
individual purchases! Next on the hop order is the LID Store where you can purchase the Mini Pinwheel Die for $5 plus applicable shipping and handling!
Do it Today!!!
Be sure to Hop in order and make comments for a chance to win one of three $10 store credits from the Lil' Inker Designs store!

Check back tomorrow for the last day of our fall release blog hop and our last item(s) to be revealed. All of the LID Design Team members are taking part in the Fun on Friday! I'm SURE you will just LOVE what we have in store for you tomorrow just as much as I love the mini pinwheel die!!!!

Day Two of Lil' Inker Designs DT Blog Hop!

It's day TWO of the Lil' Inker Designs (with ag designs)
Design Team BLOG HOP!

We are featuring for a second day the NEW Fringe Flower Die.

I am Part of today's Hop. I hope you hopped over by way of Teresa's Blog.
If not be sure you go in Hop order and post comments as we are giving away prizes at the end of the Hop.

Here is my project for day two of Fringe Flower Die's.

Being a Graphic Designer and having a strange love of type. This was a study in creative uses of type.

At Laura's house one day I started with kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink that she had already cut into a unique tri-fold card. I then used the black patterned paper from the mini stack B  and W text print series.

I used our Lil' Inker Sentiment Flag die to cut out pieces from an old Catalogue of Typefaces (Fifth Edition) from The Hoefler Type Foundry and another piece from the mini stack. I cut the flags in half and at different lengths to create the pieces under the Flower.

In having so much fun with the Fringe Flower Die I also cut some strips from the Typeface catalogue. I folded one strip in half to make a fringe border of the alphabet on one fold of my card.

beautiful sticker with a red border inspired me to use Pure Poppy felt from Papertrey Ink for the focal point of my typographic card. The wonderfully cute Fringe Flower Die made this red felt flower which has a tutorial here. Then still needing a bit of balance, I used a Background Basics: Text Styles stamp by Papertrey Ink with watermark ink by VersaMark on the left side to finish my card. Here are some close ups of my card.

Thanks for hopping and remember to leave a comment to be entered for a chance to win great prizes from Lil' Inker Designs.
Next on the hopping path is your last stop for today at The Lil' inker Store, where you can find these items that I used in my card.

Check back here tomorrow for day three of the New Release Blog Hop by the Lil' Inker Design Team.

Lil' Inker Designs Kick Off Hop by ag designs

Today is the first ever,
Lil' Inker
Designs Design Team Blog Hop!

So many firsts to celebrate!
It's MY first Blog Hop, and even better than THAT this was the first time Laura and I got to spend some time together (without kids) and CRAFT things allll day!
One of the best times I have had in a while I MUST say.

So here is my first card creation.
It was the first time I got to see and
use the actual Rainbow & Clouds dies and sentiments. Shocking I know, but most of the work Laura and I do together is virtual. This was just so fun to get my hands on these dies, stamps, paper and inks!

It has been wayyyy too long. Just hope I get to  rummage through Laura's spectacular craft room again soon!
hint hint :)

Then just because I couldn't pass up the chance to, I did a quick card using some gorgeous paper and the Pinwheel Die!

Now for some
business...

these are some designs for Lil' Inker Designs
Products that I have created.
Browse and Click to go over and get
them for yourselves! :)

I know I'm being redundant but this was just such a fun way to use all the things the Design Team will be using and take my part in the Blog Hop!

Please make sure you leave a comment on my blog because we are giving away some pretty terrific prizes!
The deadline for commenting is 11:59pm EST, Sunday, August 14th.

Lastly Hop your way over to Alicia Thelin's Blog to continue the Design Team Hop....

enjoy :)
